Information we collect

Information you give us. When you register for a conference, symposium, webinar or membership program, contact us, or sign up for our communications, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, firm, title, email address, phone number, mailing address, and your answers to registration questions (for example, firm size or how you heard about MPF). If you register additional attendees from your firm, we collect their names and email addresses as well.

Payment information. Card payments are processed by PayPal (Payflow). Your card number is sent directly to PayPal and is not stored on our systems. We keep a record of the transaction, including the amount, date, a transaction reference and the last four digits of the card, so we can confirm your registration and handle refunds.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site and hosting provider record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to keep the Site secure and working properly.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • with service providers who help us run the Site and our programs, such as our payment processor (PayPal), our email delivery service, our security service, and our website developer and hosting provider (Inherent, Inc.). These providers may use your information only to perform services for us;
  • with event partners such as venues, hotels and program sponsors, to the extent needed to run an event you have registered for (for example, providing an attendee list for badges or a room block);
  • with other attendees, when we publish an attendee or participant list for an event, which typically includes name, title, firm and city; and
  • when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of MPF, our attendees or others.
